Appointments: choose durations and availability that fit your services

Use service durations, buffers and calendar blocks to offer appointments that your business can actually fulfil.

Define each service separately

A quick cleaning visit and a full cleaning service do not occupy the same amount of time. Set a realistic duration for each service. Add time before or after the appointment for preparation, travel or cleanup. These buffers protect your schedule even though the customer sees only the service time.

Start with a weekly pattern

List working days and the time windows when a booking is possible. Then add exceptions for holidays, leave or extra availability. Keep the booking timezone visible: the company’s time zone and the customer’s location may differ. Check daylight-saving changes when planning recurring work.

Let customers choose at the right level

A day or half-day selector can make a schedule easier to browse. It must still show the exact proposed start and end before confirmation. If the customer needs a specific hour, show timed slots. The chosen service duration determines whether a window is long enough.

Import busy periods carefully

A private calendar feed can block existing meetings without exposing their titles or participants. Treat its URL like a secret and revoke it if it is shared. Read-only feeds refresh periodically; they are not an instant, two-way Google Calendar connection. Review flagged conflicts after external changes. Tidanda verifies a booking by email and provides a management link and calendar file. Publish only after checking services, notice periods and cancellation rules.
